It was alright, gives me tribes ascend beta vibes atm.

Problems i have with it so far is the heavy class seems to be a bit too tanky atm, the nova pistol seems way too good for picking off the light class and netcode seems to be a bit stuttery.

Otherwise it was a fun experience. I like the simple class layout and weapons I really hope it doesn't turn into what ascend did.

Nice! Do you know if it's a normal buy-it-once game or a subscription or a pay-to-win kind of deal?

    Tribes is my favorite fps

No monetisation yet but I believe it will be f2p. So far its 3 classes 3 primary 3 secondary weapons and it seems relatively balanced. I hope its not made p2w

Ah sounds like a gamble! Hope it works out! I'm dying for a good tribes game. My favorite was vengeance though I started playing way after it had any level of popularity.

Is hi-rez still behind this series? Cause if so, I've got to recommend against getting invested

No its a different studio that split off from hirez, however its ex hirez staff so we'll soon see if its the good or bad ones.

Although their other game starsiege deadzone took a name known to mech game fans with rich lore into a copy paste extraction shooter which feels a bit... Crappy. Also a mech game would have been great I've been yearning for one since Hawken

Interesting, cautiously optimistic then. I've interacted pretty closely with some of the Hi-Rez people back in 2015-2016 and obviously they weren't all bad.

    Shazbot!

I wishlisted T3 as soon as it popped up. Ascend was fun for a gag, but it wasn't good. I hope they do the series some fucking justice

It feels similar from what i remember. But its been so long since i played ascend. I feel like the hills on the maps are smaller tho

that makes sense from a game balance standpoint. the skill floor would be pretty high if everyone could just blast around like they're on a rollercoaster. unfortunate though, the best thing about ascend was playing it like a racing game
