    Buckle up y’all about to see the difference between r value 2.5 and r value of 18.

    The R value is 4 in the UK with 70% of the population double vaccinated and 40% with booster.

    We're absolutely fucked. The only hope is that hospitalisations are lower because vaccination and boosters are clearly making it less-lethal.

        R value will depend on behavior and population. Measles surely has a lower R value right now due to mask wearing and a chunk of the population staying home. Also it matters whether they're distinguishing between vaccinated and unvaccinated - the 18 is with no vaccination.

            Yes exactly. And because the population is gaining more immunity over time (vaccines + immunity after getting infected), these high R0 values mean it's getting more infectious.
