    If a person comes forward and publicly talks about being abused, there is good reason to believe them. A rando with an anime avi sharing screenshoted anonymous messages from someone who claims to have met a staffer who claimed Carter is abusive is not believable. If you're going to believe any bullshit you read online you should probably just give up being a socialist now because all your comrades are rapists according to the feds. Defaming activists and sowing discord has been a strategy of reactionaries for decades at this point and if we continue to be credulous and believe every tweet, we will continue to eat ourselves alive.

    I don't even care about Carter. His run for governor was embarrassing and he threw away a decent position in the house. This information is about as reliable as what's written on the stalls in a public bathroom though and being willing to throw someone under the bus because of it is absurd.
