Half of them are pissed because school experience (legitimate concern, i don’t learn shit online and they’re still letting people into the dorms and into sports events so it won’t do shit anyway) and are being chuds about it without pushing for a stricter ‘online only’ policy
The other half are like ‘well if we didn’t we would just be another SEC school, we should just go online for the rest of the year’, combining classism and disregard for other people in the same sentence as libs always do.
I don’t have a perfect solution for jack shit, but people fucking suck.
You wouldn't be saying that if you'd had to listen to a 90 minute long lecture about structuralism over Zoom at 9am on a monday.
Fuck, even the good lessons become less good because of the lack of physical interaction. I don't feel like I'm learning anything if I'm not there in the room with other people.
The issue is that the way US schools are handling the pandemic. Online college does not matter one bit if they still allow people to move in to the dorms and go to basketball games.
