I just watched Cloud Atlas, which had a lot of class conflict. Also bad makeup including white people playing Asian characters, but that can be explained through the structure of the book's story. It's a bit obtuse at first but sort of lights your brain on fire when you start understanding what's happening.
Embassytown by China Mieville is great SF where the conflict is resolved dialectically, sort of. But that’s a whole novel. You could also show them Mieville’s Iron Man pitch lol
