Communists: "here is our complex socio-economic treatise that explains how fundamental class antagonisms are reflected in the superstructure of society. You have to read at least pages 14-286 if you want to come to the meeting next week."

Neoliberals: "why don't the poors simply use direct deposit? Checkmate tankies."

Oh my God I can't stand this kind of thing. Boo boo I have no money left just my cars, big house, and private education for my kids. How am I even going to put together enough liquid capital to start a stupid small business

I love that most of neoliberalism is just trust fund kids telling eachother it's other people who are rich and out of touch

These people just dont know anyone outside the socioeconomic bubble of success and privilege. Literally half the techs in my lab pay ~50% of their income to housing, or they have a roommate, while on low income housing assistance for my area. These jobs start at 40k and top out at 60k, that's how fucking expensive living in an American city is.

I use to buy multiple daily starbucks coffees, eat out every day for lunch and dinner (and breakfast), subscribe to over 12 hulu/netflix/hbos, living paycheck to paycheck. But then I invested in Wholefoods NFTs and a healthcare savings account, and now I'm living it large, haven't even worked a day in 6 months!

I only buy food NFTs because food isn't even on the blockchain. You eat it and it's gone. Anyone else can own an identical loaf of bread and there's no way to prove that the one at home is yours. The calories I don't eat today will be dollars tomorrow.
