      Here it is:

Are you all aware that Radio Free Asia is literally US government propaganda? From Wikipedia:

Based on Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, it was established by the International Broadcasting Act of 1994 with the stated aim of "promoting democratic values and human rights", and countering the narrative of the Chinese Communist Party, as well as providing media reports about the North Korean government.[12] It is funded and supervised by the U.S. Agency for Global Media[13] (formerly Broadcasting Board of Governors), an independent agency of the United States government.

What this isn't saying, however, is that the first iteration was started by the CIA in 1951, and a similar effort that started broadcasting from South Korea in 1966 also has CIA links.

Also, the US Agency for Global Media IS NOT "an independent agency of the United States government". From the Wikipedia page for the USAGM:

The U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), formerly the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG),[2] is an independent agency of the United States government that broadcasts news and information.[3] It describes its mission, "vital to US national interests", to "inform, engage, and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy"[4] and in accordance with the "broad foreign policy objectives of the United States".[5] It is considered an arm of US diplomacy.[6]

The USAGM supervises Voice of America (VOA), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio y Televisión Martí, Radio Free Asia, and Alhurra TV and Radio Sawa.[7] The board of USAGM has an advisory role. It previously supervised USAGM media networks directly, but was replaced with a single appointed chief executive officer (CEO) as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017, passed in December 2016.[8][9][10][11]

      Also,

USAGM is led by a single Chief Executive Officer appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Until 2016, it was headed by a bi-partisan board with nine members; eight were appointed by the President with Senate confirmation, and the ninth member ex officio was the Secretary of State.

That doesn't sound very "independent" to me.

Ya'll are being straight up lied to, and I'm surprised this subreddit even allows blatant propaganda like this to be posted here.

          :rat-salute:

Also, you might want to read this post:

It’s a little off-topic but it’s kinda interesting if you read this thread by looking for the randomword-randomword usernames. Entirely typical of sock puppet accounts. At the time of my comment my expectations were met about 85% of the time. Just saying.

Definitely seems like there's some weird shit going on. Also, the account that posted the article appears to do nothing but spam pro-imperialist propaganda.

Yeah, it seems way more aggressive than usual. I think this might be the first time I've been banned at all on reddit in all the years I've used the site.
