      Like cicadas it is ingrained into their DNA. Every summer they make the arduous journey to the nearest resort then bore their frustrated coworkers with vacation stories they could give a crap about.

      it's gotta be a coping mechanism. I watch certain movies, to the point I have entire scenes perfectly memorized, because they make me feel better when things aren't going my way. It has to be the same way.

        Yes, for sure. For the small number of Disney Adults I know, it's a coping mechanism. We all have them. For me it's N64 and an obscure trading card game I used to play. The difference is I'm totally aware of this and make sure to go to that well only sparingly, Disney Adults have zero self awareness and get pissy if you dare suggest it's all just cope. And they will literally build their life around Disney.
