Yeah under capitalism we still have breadlines but you have to pay for the bread
Having a basic staple food be freely provided for everyone is seen as horrific because of the need for the meaningless aesthetic of choice

I get and share the point, but the concept of breadlines I always thought implied "only bread to eat, all the fancy food is scarce".
