'Cause there's no such thing as climate, right? Climate and everything are the same word, and that's what bothers me about the climate change types. It's like, this is something that bothers me about it, technically. It's like climate is about everything. Ok. But your models aren't based on everything. Your models are based on a set number of variables. So that means you've reduced the variables — which are everything — to that set.
Well how did you decide which set of variables to include in the equation, if it's about everything? That's not just a criticism, that's like, if it's about everything, your models aren't right. Because your models do not and cannot model everything.
Everything is what people who talk about the climate apocalypse claim in some sense. We have to change everything… The same with the word environment. That word means so much that it actually doesn't mean anything. Like when you say everything, like in a sense that's meaningless. What's the difference between the environment and everything? There's no difference. What's the difference between climate and everything? Well, there's no difference.

I started a thread that I'm sure will get nuked within the next ~15 minutes: Copypasta : JordanPeterson
I did some very minor editing.
Jordan Peterson Says 'There's No Such Thing as Climate'
Well, that's 'cause there's no such thing as climate, right? Climate and everything are the same word, and that's what bothers me about the climate change types. It's like, this is something that bothers me about it, technically. It's like climate is about everything. Ok. But your models aren't based on everything. Your models are based on a set number of variables. So that means you've reduced the variables — which are everything — to that set. Rogan asked, "What do you mean by 'everything?"
Peterson responded,
Well that's what people who talk about the climate apocalypse claim in some sense. We have to change everything… The same with the word environment. That word means so much that it actually doesn't mean anything. Like when you say everything, like in a sense that's meaningless. What's the difference between the environment and everything? Holy moly. I don't think I can do this. First words out of Peterson's mouth in the Joe Rogan interview are complete self parody. I can't even dunk on it.
It boggles my mind what passes for an "intellectual" on the right. If I was on the bus and there was a guy mumbling to himself "'Cause there’s no such thing as climate, right? Climate and everything are the same word, and that’s what bothers me about the climate change types..." I'd hope the poor guy gets the mental health help he desperately needs.
I wouldn't bow down unto him and declare that he's a wise man and a prophet.
"Scientific models cannot perfectly replicate reality and are therefore useless." :galaxy-brain:
you can't make a model to explain something as complex as the climate and the environment... anyways, so like I was saying, people are just like lobsters
I got a reply to the thread I started in the Peterson thread...
This clip was kind of ridiculous and almost put me off from watching the rest lol glad it didn't
More comic gold from the thread in the Peterson sub...
Possibly his worst take ever. Does he continue like this or is the rest actually worth watching?
I'm one hour in and it's basically the same mumbling, nonsense and subjectivity... it honestly feels like listening to a stoned dude. But I will listen to everything because some people said it gets better later.
Hello I a normal guy and public intellectual am putting on a tuxedo for my appearance on a podcast with America’s stoned older brother.
Holy damn that's such a baby brain take. "Climate change isn't real because the climate models that predict it aren't perfect".
