    Neat! Are there some variants that you do not have to take for the rest of your life, or do they not work then? I've looked into those kinda things and they just seem very... Intense.
    I was hoping for some home-cooked grandmother remedy that worked for some inexplicable reason.

      Well, you don't have to take them for the rest of your life if you handle the source of the problem directly...

      Male pattern baldness is caused by dihydrotestosterone, the only way to stop it is to stop your body from converting overall testosterone to DHT with finasteride, or by significantly dropping all testosterone levels with anti-androgens (or orchiectomy I suppose)

      There are not. Hair loss is genetic. So short of gene therapy, you're stuck with it.

      I don't use either because I'd rather lose my hair than deal with that shit forever, but topical minoxidil, while less effective, has significantly fewer side effects and you can just buy it in bulk online. Ignore this.
