Ok, so I suspect the recent growth in obsessing over the content taught at schools is because their child says things offensive to their shallow worldview.

Kids, armed with the knowledge easily obtainable on the internet and instant communication with less brainwashed peers, push back on their horseshit and chud parents get pissed.

The average conservative parent wants to control their child's access to the internet, but is far too stupid to know how to setup parental controls in an airtight way that their kid couldnt easily circumvent.

So this scapegoating of schools and teachers is just a way to offload the ego blow of admitting:

    • They are not smart enough to setup parental control software
    • They are too lazy to actually put in the effort required to completely subjugate their child's media diet to their whims
    • Their child whose views oppose theirs is smarter than they are
    • Their child is not the perfect little obedient angel they want to believe and seeks the information that offends them on their own

Being perpetual victims, they must find someone else to place the blame on for what they perceive to be their failures. This winds up being teachers, school administrators, and local government officials. Right wing media pumps up the idea that schools are teaching their kids to hate white people and America, which they swallow hook, line and sinker because it's less ego friction to believe than the truth.

They could fire every teacher who isn't a staunch nationalist, and their kids will still keep calling out their bullshit because the factor contributing to increased "wokeness" amongst kids is being able to communicate with peers and research shit more easily.
