    Nordic runes were made straight so they could be easily carved with a knife or chisel.

    The Hangul syllabary was made to be simple and reflect how each sound is made.

      also the whole "they look that way because of the medium" is low key bullshit imo. Both Latin Capitals and ancient Egyptian were meant to be carved in stone on big monuments with one literally descended from the other. There are no similarities to be found.
