After living with a cat that defecated on every piece of furniture in my house, you can bet your backside I smiled when my family told me it died. Nearly burst into song and dance too.
They both could theoretically still be alive depending on how old they were in the video, cats and smaller dogs can live a pretty long time.
In another decade or so tho yeah, this phenomenon will be way more common.
