Hell, when the George Floyd uprising was in full swing and our brave freedom fighters in D.C. were ripping the barricades out of the hands of Secret Service agents even the Liberals thought it was fucking awesome. When the Minneapolis police precinct was burned to the ground, a majority of the country supported it (before the following months of propaganda and recuperation ensued). Propaganda of the deed can be kinda sketchy, but in general I think the US left leans far on the side of caution rather than playing things fast and loose (possibly even too far, though I'm not about to decide where the line should be drawn).

When the rubber hits the road, agents provocateur will turn the adventurism dial up to whatever level they want anyway. We can't start clutching our pearls when wild shit starts happening. I don't want any of my comrades doing stupid shit, but on the other hand I don't think it is productive to be puritanical about it, because the path from renunciation of violence leads straight to disarmament, liberal recuperation, and ultimately management by NGOs which are entirely trapped within the system that needs to be destroyed.
