Playing golf should be punishable by death.
They have started a petition on Change.org titled “Removal of spaces for people measures from Lanark Road around Kingsknowe Golf Club.”
How about a removal of spaces for people who play golf, aka golf clubs which should be turned into anything other than golf courses (first idea: a prison for people who play golf).
They also add that their members have no option other than to travel by car due to the equipment used whilst playing golf.
Here's an idea: Put wheels on the golf bag, then start walking towards the sea and don't stop until the water is 15m above your head!
There's a special car they make for golfers. It's all electric and really efficient for short distance travel.
Anyway they're not even complaining about not having parking, since the golf course has parking. They're complaining about not having overflow parking.
it's crazy - they'll probably spend more time, money and effort to lobby against the bike lanes than they would just finding some place to accomodate the other cars and running some sort of shuttle between the offsite parking and the course.
