The nationalism, the colonial centric pedagodgy, class disparity, industrial poisoning of local communities, and thats just in the first 3 episodes of the season. Episode 3 has some good materialism.
Avatar has a lot to say. Its a good show.

What do you feel are it's major flaws?
Well, for example the way they fumbled the entire ending. Suffering from a serious moral dilemma resulting from a conflict between your philosophy/religion and the necessary actions required to protect other people? Don't worry, a never-before-mentioned turtle god will grant you a new superpower at the 11th hour. Unable to win a fight due to the choices you've made to stay in line with your philosophy/religion? Don't worry, Mr. Pointy Rock will unlock the superpowers you knowingly and deliberately disabled a while back.
That is still my biggest gripe with that show. Aang goes from person to person like “How can I do this without killing him?” and every single one of them is like “No you have to kill him dude” and it’s annoying that he got out of it
