Listen, Jack, the chocolate and peanut butter chips melted into that ubiquitous candy combo, which tasted great with the warm, creamy banana. The crisped marshmallows offered a bit of contrast in texture, and an additional cookout feel with their roasted flavor. A classic from start to finish, these banana boats have now found a place in my heart, just as they did for my mother so many years ago. :Biden-nibble:
idk if this is my czech upbringing but i find most american foods disgusting because everything has extreme amounts of sugar in it
I'm Canadian and I find most American food has way too much sugar in it. Stuff that you wouldn't even think would have sugar as an ingredient. I remember having a house-made sausage patty one time, at a pretty decent restaurant, and it was like they spilled syrup into the sausage grinder. Why? It's sausage. It doesn't need sugar!
yeah whenever i go to mcdonalds for cheap food cause im poor i feel like im putting a lethal dose of sugar into my bloodstream because of how sugary the bread is
how sugary the bread is
I was raised on generic, store bought bread all my life living with my parents and for a period after. A couple years ago, I switched over to a generic sourdough. Some months back, I bought some of my older style bread just because I was curious;. it was so damn sugary compared to the sourdough I could barely handle it
I remember a little factoid that there are fewer than ten items on the McDonald's menu that don't have added sugar.
I'm American and when I go shopping - I have to check the ingredients of everything to see if they are pumped full of sugar or not so I can avoid the shitty items. For many months in a row I went to Trader Joe's which is very unusual in the US. It's like a chain of grocery stores - not supermarkets. They are different and items are not pumped full of sugar. I got used to ignoring the list of ingredients.
Then I went to my local supermarket and I forgot to check the ingredients on everything. That night I made a tuna sandwich with pita bread and there was sweetness in my mouth. I forgot to check the pita bread. It was sugar city. I was so annoyed.
It's really terrible for poor people because nearly everything that's cheapest is ~97% corn syrup.
I've got one you'll love, it's called Pow Wow Chow!

Makes me think of the Boomer classic Elvis' grilled banana sandwich but without the bread. Grills do all sorts of neat things to food flavor, not a surprise.
I always hated these banana filling things. Probably because they usually involve peanut butter, which I don't like. Also I don't like bananas which doesn't help
you want different kinds of sugar mixed together to maximize the power of each hit
Warm brownie with cold vanilla ice cream is such a perfect combo I can't imagine debasing it with anything else. I mean if I'm spending the money and eating the calories, I want it to be as good as possible.
