this is so awful, I pray that this over quickly with as few innocents dead/permanently displaced as possible. obvious take but it's extremely tragic that the US and NATO get to increase pressure in already precarious situations and then leave countries to deal with the fall out. at this point, there's no chance Ukraine joins NATO. NATO should have just left well enough alone but of course not. (Not defending the land invasion)
