      And also, the protestants won the league war, but the only protestant country left in the HRE is the Palpatine, so they just keep winning emperorship by voting for themselves.

    I mean basically every EU4 game I've played has resulted in the random collapse of some great power and rise of some obscure nation. The only thing that changes are the names and colours of blobs on the map

      Something weird always happens in EU4, true. But "no Russia + Italy formed + no Spain + Morrocan territories in Europe + huge Pomerania + GB in the Netherlands " is much stranger than my usual games.

      Oh and also you can't see it, but the USA formed and is the 4th greatest power on Earth.
