Yeah I'm imagining how terrible I would do in that situation and I actually have experience with guns. It doesn't look like Russia is intentionally mowing down civilians (besides those awful clips floating around) so arming your civilians is probably the best way to assure more of them die.

Yes there have definitely been some incidents, we should be careful not to be dismissive
