on the positive side, ideal revolutionary conditions will arise alongside worsening material conditions. people just need to be in a position to seize the opportunity.

remember that capitalism in decay is also what breeds fascism, though. every socialist movement must, first and foremost, be an antifascist one. it is absolutely indispensable to avoid that the collapse leads to barbarism instead of socialism.

tbh i think a thorough critique of fascism isn't possible without a thorough crititque of imperialism. when imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism and fascism is capitalism in decay, it usually follows that fascism is imperialism in decay, a stumbling empire trying with ever increasing violence to return to its glory days.

edit: just to make it clear, i'm having american fascism in mind here. i've disengaged as much as possible from the propaganda onslaught surrounding ukraine, so in case you want to argue about that, we should probably do that in a month or so.

As another poster said a few days ago, we're past the point of fighting over the resources, we're now fighting for who gets the rights to sell the resources to whom.

"See, how can people say capitalism is bad, when it makes it so much easier to come to terms with mortality by making life increasingly akin to a nightmare that isn't worth living in?"

I've heard some only mildly conspirational explainations that the USA forced Ukraine into not negotiating so it could fuck over Germany, sink nordstream and prevent the EU from peeling away via oil dependency.

    So...resource wars already here.

I'm in the euphoria state because I know this is the most awesome part of my life, considering what it'll be like when the other shoe drops

"haven’t even reach the resource wars part of climate change yet or the mega migrations"

The icing on the doom cake will be the nuclear takes from brunch liberals tweeting their skinsuit-wearing "empathy" about those poorer than them actually suffering from the above. :liberalism:
