This kinda shit obfuscates the direct nazi parentage of NATO and the Gladio militants in Ukraine, as well as the Banderite parentage of the Ukrainian Nationalist movement at large.
It's kinda the same with the laser focus on Azov when Banderism is much more pervasive and influential than this one battalion.
Ukraine doesn't just have a handful of fascists mercenaries they work with, the entire conception of Ukrainian nationalism as it exists is wrought with fascism and descended from the movements of literal collaborators in the holocaust. It's also part of a long history of NATO supporting and fostering nazi movements to do its bidding, or being staffed by literal Nazi generals.
The batallion was only ever a focus because it has a good wiki page and was a nazi group directly incorporated into the military officially. Nothing says "we're cool with nazis" more than officially welcoming the nazis into your military, arming them, and paying them salaries they use to further embed themselves in and takeover the levers of power in society.

Yeah of course there are a bunch of Nazis in US and Russian army but the Azov Battalion along with like 12 other smaller milotias and groups not only number to way more than people think but are deeply entranced and influential in army and police forces as well as local politics. People who point to election numbers don't understand how politics work. Nazis in Ukraine are the best organized, ideologicaly commited and militarized group in Ukrainian politics, basically running things in a lot of ereas like we see in Mariupol where somehow the very few Nazis end up dominating and controlling the defense and fate of a 400k people city. They dominated and see the convo and direction on the ground in the Maiden protests and they only grew since then. Being positively covered and allowed to spread their influence for years and years with the cultural shift in Ukraine towards ww2 revisionism and anti Russian nationalism being extremely obvious and fertile ground for them
