Honestly after seeing a lot of people expressing the opposite, I'm pretty proud to say that I'm mostly grounded in the passage of time. 2018 was 6 years ago? Yeah, that makes sense, although a few things are a blur. We're just over a month into 2024? Checks out!

Anyone know what causes people to feel like time flies by?

It's hard to say, because I've got the time distortion shit going both ways. Like I started HRT almost ten years ago and it feels like my entire life has been between then and now but also it stretches backwards past then to encompass all that happened before, but then the past six years almost feel like just a few weeks or maybe a month have passed during them. Time slips away just as fast as it drags interminably on, the past week has lasted for the whole of all time even as years disappear as soon as they arrive.

I do not like it, and would like the linear progression of time to stop.

If it makes you feel any better, the linear progression of time is probably an illusion, and the universe is a solid block of spacetime at once containing everything that ever was, and everything that ever will be frozen like flies in amber.
