Seems like it's the same neoliberalism as everyone else, but without a substantial migrant population South Korean reactionaries must look elsewhere for a scapegoat to rally against. In some ways SK is further along the neoliberal curve than any other country, with companies like Samsung directly owning a huge share of it.
Makes sense. Their greatest military threat is probably Japan, at least to most people, but that doesn't do well for Capital. Makes sense that misogyny would at least make for a more natural media focal point.
