I mean I am dark haired so it might be showing up more due to that, but man I feel like the March of time is unstoppable.

Stress is probably most of it. Some of it is just the passage of time, but stress can do a lot of damage.

I used to have MORE grey hairs in my early 30s than I do now in my early 40s. I know that won't last, but having a much better and less stressful life situation made me healthier overall.

I started to go bald at 21 and was completely bald by 27. Grey hairs at 31.

Me? No stress. Holding up pretty awesome actually. Sometimes it's just genetics

It's probably a combination of both. I think I might have less if I didn't worry so much.

Like not trying to be insensitive but how'd you know you'd gone gray?

    Mood.

It starts small - bags under your eyes no matter how well rested you are, grey hairs popping up here and there, strange aches that are more annoyance than pain. It's scary and takes time to accept. But by the time you do, more jarring signs of age have begun to set in and the cycle starts all over again.

Aging is a constant body dysmorphia that affects everyone. Everyone who lives past 27 at least.

Remind me of a song by a punk band called the Wonder Years "Woke Up Older;''. one of the lines of the song is " you left the room receeded like my hairline''

I feel excercise has definitely helped me avoid some, but not all, of the creaks and pops I hear some of my friends complaining about. But just the fact that now my body needs to be maintained - whereas before I could trust it to do that for itself - is kind of startling for me.

I'm almost positive it's stress. I'm a worry wort with deep anxiety, while my brother isn't so bad about worrying he's only 3 years younger than me with the same shade of hair and no noticeable grey.

Jesus christ, I'm sorry comrade. I dread the day I get referred to as old. It's going to happen though at some point.

I'm around the same age and have a lot of gray and white beard hairs. I kinda like it though.

Solidarity. No grey hairs, since I dye mine green, but my hairline is definitely thinning due to my phenibut addiction. Stress of tapering off is unreal, and my finances are a fucking mess on top of it, so I'm sleeping ~4 hours a night consistently and worrying about either my body/heart while I'm awake, or finances. Fuck those microloan apps.

If you ever need an ear, I'm around :soviet-heart:

I'm the same age but I'm near-white blonde so I doubt it'll ever show up. However I am now taking pills to cure my balding which is apparently more common in men who are that blonde. So you know. Give and take.

We also are more prone to sickness, bad eye sight and drug addiction.

If nazis had their way Europe right now would be mostly bald men in glasses with long covid and heroin issues.

Slightly younger but yea, mine is spreading. Started getting white hairs at 15 and have had to dye it since. Really wish everyone wasnt going to get blasted into their respective atoms

I don't want to make light of your situation comrade, because I feel it too, but the idea that it is the stress of existing that is aging us rather than just existing in time is very funny to me. It also makes a lot of sense if you think about our use of phrases like "baby-brained" or "needed to grow up fast."

    Anyways, mood and solidarity.

I started getting a noticable amount of greys at like 22 but I'd had a fairly rough life so I definitely think stress is part of it. Now in my mid thirties my beard is more then half white and the sides of my are pure silver.
