I don't know, as I have no connection to Judaism. But I don't think this should discourage you. This is like judging any people by their nation's/ethnic group's right wing element. There are plenty of diaspora Jews speaking out against Israel.
I'm actually drawn to Judaism and want to convert but this is discouraging.
