This is obviously very bad but I'm weirdly relieved that it is happening, that BA.2 is indeed causing its own rise in cases. I am feeling more and more like I'm losing my grip on reality with the "covid is over" push. But the virus is still doing what informed people predicted it would do. Material reality still exists.
I just hope everyone realizes it's a thing before my office starts transitioning to hybrid work. I really don't want to be doing a commute during a wave (or at all).
