They offer a much much level headed and nuanced opinions than most westerners and have a large variety of views. It shows there is little fear expressing views and more variety of opinions in their news.
I agree if I'm hearing it right, I think she is saying "我觉德用《入侵》这个词可能。。。太严重的"
if so that's a serious mistranslation in the subs
show this to reddit and they would assume that the woman who mentioned winnie the pooh memes got disappeared after this
She clearly enjoys the pooh memes. Maybe she doesn't know a lot of people share them because Pooh is yellow and Xi is east Asian.
I think they say in the comments that the translation is wrong, and gives the impression that the younger people are less sympathetic to Russia than they really are.
I first saw this video as part of a reaction video from a Chinese youtuber who makes English content, and they didn't bring up issues with translations. So I wasn't looking out for it.
Interesting video. Maybe I'm just in a cynical mood, and I don't know how curated this collection of interviews is, but I don't think you could create something this coherent in the US. In the comments there's a lot of discussion of the translation not being exactly right. I don't speak any Chinese at all, so I have no opinion on the subtitles.
I think from the fact that the location is the same place and roughly around the same time, I think they interviewed people passing by and they chose the people most informed and had a lot to say. There may be quite poor problems with translations brought up in the comments, but some of the people were clearly against Russia's actions and freely expressing so.
It's definitely good, and people seem to be very comfortable expressing themselves sincerely.
the party doesn’t really care about opinions not directed at the party or Taiwan right?
This video is interesting because all these Americans can say about a Russian Ukrainian conflict is what it says about America
