I've found a decently cheap place online to get new glasses made (no link/name only because I don't want this post to be a plug). But my most recent prescription is like four years old, from one of those expensive eye places. Where do I get a new prescription that's accurate (maybe including bifocals) without paying out the wazoo? Is Wal-Mart the only option?

Thanks in advance for your experiences.

I was recommended zenni before here and my sibling seemed to like it. Something like 100 dollars for their glasses would have been less but they got stuff like tint and all.

Yeah, Zenni is the place I plan on ordering glasses from, I'm just looking for some place to get a new prescription.

If you got the ability, Costco is really reasonable. I bought my wife glasses for something like $80. Which I found way reasonable than some other places out there that sells “discounted” prescription glasses.

    • I should also mention that I live in a very high income area up in the Rockies. And Costco and Walmart are my only choices unless I drive to Denver. Which would defeat the purpose of finding cheap glasses in my area. Also the eye exam was covered by my insurance but not the glasses unless I went to a LensCrafters. Which I won’t because fuck Luxottica. The only reason eyeglasses are expensive is because of this leech of a company monopolized the glasses industry.
