Anyone have a good resource on now the government of china functions.
First person to recommend governance of China gets the :stalin-gun-1:
Here's an ask historians thread I like that illustrates some cool stuff. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/i2vqbk/the_peoples_republic_of_china_technically_has_8/g0a3f6x/

How Does China's Political System Work? How Are Chinese Leaders Elected?
Honestly I got a surprisingly unbiased take from Wikipedia. At least the basics of how their elections work and stuff like that. If you want a very quick explanation. These other posts will obviously go more into detail.
I learned a lot a year ago from Vikki1999's video How does China work?. She does some great 101 stuff, but also some of her material is... hhmm. Well, I'll just say I don't endorse a lot of it. But at least based on memory, that^ is a pretty good video that does a good job of giving a leftist overview of the the machinations of the Chinese government.
It's a 43 min video with description:
This video is an in depth explanation of the history of the people's republic of china, as well as an explanation of the Maoist theory and modern praxis. I go over Maoism and explain it's philosophy and origin, then I explain the ways Mao tried to implement these changes
Would be very curious to read other Hexbears' opinions on it too if anyone watches.
Some feel good footage about how government is supposed to actualy work i.e meet people, listen to their needs and implement those changes.
