Wayne Zelensky. This guy is the protagonist of Disney's 1989 live-action film, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, its 1992-97 sequels, and the television series in the franchise.
In it, he is the scientist father of a teenage girl and boy, and he accidentally shrinks his kids, and two other neighborhood teens, to the size of insects. Like a total melon. After that, the teens must fight diminutive dangers as the father searches for them.
This is the guy everyone's talking about in the news, which confuses me, but eh.

It would be one thing if it was like somewhat convincing so I would actually feel fooled, but I guess people are too nervous about actually tricking people so instead its just a flood of "Haha all of today we're going to be doing a bad and forced unfunny bit for no reason!".
The one funny bit I've encountered today was one of the artists I follow switching their display name to japanese and uploading like 2 amateur looking sketches to make me wonder when the fuck I started following this random account.
Also a lot of them are just lazy and either just make you go "Oh no that sucks I'd hate for that to happen" or "Oh wow a good thing, oh no its an april fools so now I feel marginally worse and not amused in the slightest".
