It's hard. I'm the only one I see still wearing a mask. All the customers I serve treat me like a weirdo for wearing one. Feel like the worlds gone mad sometimes.
I just keep backing up. The increased risk of someone being maskless vs. the shitty masks most people wear is largely droplets, because both these populations are leaking plenty of aerosols. Droplets have short range.
What is even the deal with that? You don't have to wear one anymore, so just don't bother instead of half ass it
Scream at the top of your lungs as they approach you. Otherwise, there's not really much you can do, short of trying to subtly socially distance yourself.
Maybe tell them you aren’t feeling well and start coughing as a subtle threat. Sort of like a “oh no, I think a zombies bit me” routine.
I don’t have any advice because the people around me who don’t wear masks just have too much power and I risk getting banned from the grocery store (for instance) if I harass them. All I want to add is that the first time in this pandemic I saw someone order someone else to wear a mask was at a doctor’s office a month ago. It was an employee speaking to a patient, too. The patient was actually chill about it and complied. The employees there nonetheless take off their masks the moment you turn your back. It’s the only place I know of where I live which makes any effort to enforce masks.
