“whataboutism” is liberal for “you’re absolutely fucking 100% right and I am a big liberal baby who shidded his doodoo ass”

Dreaming of a world in which libs never learned the word "whataboutism," or internalized it as a thought-terminating cliché. But I guess if you have the hubris to declare "the end of history," that includes historical context for your bad-faith arguments.

Edit: Also, funny that the article leaves off the well-documented torture carried out at Abu Ghraib prison.

Whataboutism is actually cool and good. It's just a way to shut down criticism, but by trying to negate previous US war crimes they admit that it happened but was good because we're the good guys. Which is kinda like doing a whataboutism itself. I prefer whataboutdemapples

What do you do when the fundamental concept of evaluation entails making comparisons between things to "measure" their qualities?

Bonus, if you look up whataboutism on NATOpedia, even their article basically says liberals aren't using it correctly, and that there are tons of cases where whataboutism is entirely valid and necessary.

Its almost like they cravenly use outrage as a political tool. Who'd of thunk it
