I am not fucking around when I say that I am making a doomsday plan. I even bought one of those dorky skull masks and a MAGA hat from a thrift store to serve as a disguise until I eventually flee. My main goal is to just run for my fucking life. I worry that in the vast majority of western nations, similar kristallanchts will happen as well. As for the global south, these countries will just get nuked "for teh evulz".

If there's two candidates I have for my escape countries are Iceland (relatively hard to invade, up north so more resilient to climate change), and also Ireland. Both of these countries have historically been responsible for little to no particular colonization, holocausts, etc. Hell, Ireland also was relatively chill with Jews in comparison to the rest of Europe. However, correct me if I am wrong because I do not intend nor want to deny or handwave any tragedy.

The optimistic side of me would say that people under 30 or so have a strong critical mass of people with decent views on stuff. Which doesn't necessarily prevent this shit, per se. But I imagine you'd be as safe sheltering with a bunch of college kids in Brooklyn as you'd be in Iceland or whatever. And I think there are even plenty of middle age libs and neolibs who will go to great lengths to protect you, if only to deal with their own guilt or savior complex or whatever. Taking in Afghan refugees was all the rage earlier this year. It's lib shit, obviously. But it gives me a reason to be optimistic that people would keep you safe / offer you shelter, even if it's just because they want to virtue signal.
