Remember kids, when America has over 500 billion dollars worth of gold in New York and that's not even our only massive gold depository, that's just there to back the US dollar for everyone's benefit.
When a :us-foreign-policy: person has a vault of gold, it's there "to pay mercenaries to fight for him for years".
White people paid by our government to wage war: our brave troops
Brown people paid by their government to wage war: mercenaries!
I'm not sure if it's actually Knox or not, but it came up when I searched "fort knox gold" and learned that it isn't even the largest gold depository in the US.
ahh, I was just reading more about it because I was curious. it sounds like all the gold in the new york reserve doesn't necessarily belong to the US (though presumably some large amount of it does). so it's possible ft. knox still has the largest amount of US-owned gold.
idk, but that's a HUGE amount of gold. like, the amount of gold in the picture is probably somewhere around 1% of all gold in the world if it's pure.
this makes me think about the destruction of the Baghdad Museum. a horrible crime against history
There's a movie about this staring george clooney but I haven't seen it since I was young. Its probably terrible.

Is that really gold? I thought ingots of that size would be too heavy for a person to pick up.
It's about 27 pounds per gold bar, at least from what I googled. You could probably stuff one in a backpack or something.
For a second I thought these were regular bricks, and they were confiscating individual bricks so people couldn't throw them at them.
Which would also be amusingly American.
me after I haven’t gone for three weeks and the enemas finally kick in
