Sanders's lost disillusioned us all in some way, but even now you can still see some people hooting for CTH to insert itself into the conversation about every left-ish movement. And I feel like among these people, only a small number believes that CTH has some kind of big, real-world impact. The majority just want to hear the hosts' takes and make it their own takes. They are relying on CTH to think for themselves. I just want to ask these people why do they take the podcast this serious, especially after they have been wrong many times.
Well, when I found them I was a social democrat (first ep I listened to they were shitting on Warren, and I was like "she's just as good as Bernie, right?"), and listening to them pushed me to be at least some kind of socialist. So I will always be grateful to them for that.
I stopped listening in large part because they seemed lazy and directionless and I could not stand Amb3r's class reductionism. But now Amb3r is gone and they do seem a lot sharper now, so I've gotten back in a bit.
I'm the same age as Matt, and with how leftist spaces skew younger than me I do like listening to someone who, from a passage of time POV, has similar experiences to me.
I thought she just did ironic anti italian rascism as a bit.
