Those have been my dream car since I was like 13 and I always figured they were somewhat obtainable when they were selling in the ~$30k range. Who on earth is going to pay $70k for something like that? That's literally brand new Porsche Cayman money. :yes-honey-left:

Same. I got a used Miata because sorta like lotuses they were pretty cheap but super fun. I've put 10k miles on it since ownin and everywhere seems to say it's $5k-$10k more if I wanted to sell now.

I bought my Miata at 130k miles for $2500, now at 220k miles 10 years later I could probably sell it for double that. Not that I would, it's my baby.

Damn love to hear I can keep this car for hundreds of thousands of miles. Because like you I'm not about to sell it. Love it and couldn't afford anything close in the current state.

True that engine is right exposed and good to go. No weirdness. It's a delight. Encouraged to keep it and keep working on it

Ya I mean I got mine for like $5k or so a couple years ago. In solid condition. Similar ones are $10k-$15k whenever I look now. Insane.

hey i remember 30k lotus elises. they're also my dream car, or at least they were until i sat in one. it's basically a go-kart with half an interior. i get that it's cool and light, but it wouldn't be a very comfortable car to spend a lot of time in.
