The capitalists want peace in Ukraine for the natural gas pipelines and to have the ports open for grain exports. Billions of profits for grain shipments, industrial exports, and natural gas is going up in smoke every month this war continues. Afghanistan had virtually no exports when NATO invaded. That is why no one cared that Western military powers turned it into a hellhole to test out every new weapon system under the sun.
Russia is a paper tiger to NATO besides their nuclear triad. After months of Russian military failures against the formally 10th best ranked military in Europe there is no reason to prolong the war or use it to test out new weapon systems like NATO did even in Bosnia in the 1990's - remember when Clinton used "smartbombs" for weeks after the Serbs would have surrendered? Capitalists would rather have a stable Russia/Ukraine than to use Eastern Europe as a new playground for the military industrial complex.
Capitalists do not care if Ukraine has a Russian stooge or a starry-eyed NATO aspirant so long as the ports are open.
Wars are always about testing weapons. The longer they run, the more new weapon systems are tested. Afghanistan had the most first-time weapon system deployments since WWII.
Zelensky can say whatever he wants but Ukraine will eventually join NATO.
So will Georgia.
