Dragons have been a huge part of several expansions storylines, the writers are just throwing darts at a wall covered with Post it's at this point.

So to clarify this post is infact real and WoW has never had a expansion based entirely on dragons because many other expansions were already basically based around dragons making a dragon based expansion strange and redundant but this is now a thing because "capitalism breeds innovation?"

Yep. They're introducing a dragonoid race that can only be the new class they're introducing which sounds like it's going to be a mage/priest hybrid with some dragon flavored abilities. I haven't played retail WoW since Legion but sort of kept up on the storyline and it just seems like they realized they didn't actually need to create a coherent storyline so fuck it, dragons everywhere, nerds love dragons.

Lmao. I found this picture of the race not sure how legit but anything else I've searched doesn't look that much better. Now imagine that riding a real dragon into battle. :miyazaki-laugh:

Unfortunately, the real thing isn't as funny, but it does look pretty bad. WoW in general has always looked like technicolor barf to me.

At least it's not just a regular human with horns or whatever. Gotta give at least a point for that, I appreciate when games branch out a bit. Like GW2's charr having a giant hunch + horse-neck and running on all fours.

not just a regular human with horns

That's exactly what it is though

Am I supposed to be looking at the middle ones instead of the dragons on the sides? :michael-laugh:

funny thing is that the male human dragon forms are based on blood elves, but the female dragon forms are based on human females.

(incels have ruined the word female for me)

Its the fact that they can turn into humans and they still made them dragon-people instead of just actual dragons that gets me. Am I missing something? Is it an engine limitation? Why make something so complicated when the simple thing is much cooler?

As a non-wow-player-sometime-hearthstone-amateur aren't dragonkin already a thing? Is this something different?

              Drakonids

Those guys look way cooler than the new race. Why not just make them playable instead?

If I had to guess, the art department doesn't want to make armor for a frame that is wildly different than the rest of the races. With this they can just use the worgen models.

Nah I just did some sleuthing and there are Dragonkin cards in hearthstone

              https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/Dragonkin_Sorcerer

              E) it seems "Dragonkin" is an umbrella term in wow lore, so we are both technically right I guess? the wiki article implies there are more "draconic races"
