Both. The doctor said "the worst part is when I rip the tape off" referring to some tape that he used to hold my hog back. The worst part was that the second shot of numbing stuff didn't really take and he started going at it anyway. It kind of felt like getting kicked in the crotch, but not the initial shock. Just the dull ache that lingers. Today is the first full day of recovery and it still feels like that a bit. It's not the worst thing ever, but it's definitely more than I was expecting for some reason.
Overall it's going to be worth it, but make sure you don't have plans for a couple of days
The shot was right in the bag, kind of on the underside. The first one wasn't bad, and the numbing went well. When he switched over to lefty, the shot hurt more than the other one, then the whole side hurt more. It wasn't unbearable, but I wasn't prepared for it based on how the Dr was talking..
At some point, I'll need to do this. Just very afraid of doctors and medical procedures, but it's such a simpler ordeal for me than for my wife.
When you said they undersold the pain, do you mean during the procedure or during recovery? Makes me cringe just thinking about it.

I hate when people say shot won't hurt and it does. Where was the shot at, precisely, if I may ask? I don't wanna be rude, not sure if AMA is literal.
It is literal. I encourage people to get the snip
