I think its funny that the guy who founded Vice got replaced with the person who turned A&E into the duck dynasty network, after which she totally tanked the company, and they then replaced her with two guys who were both in senior executive positions as the company kept shooting itself in the foot.
I have no sympathy for Shane Smith. The man is a billionaire and his company ethos went from "What if lame nepo baby punk sex pests could be journalists" to "What if tech guy sex pestd were journalists" without ever stopping being performative about the aesthetic. But it is funny that the company only functioned under his leadership when his main deal is forming deals to get vice funded by other people and going to third world countries to gawp.
