I think it matters for Zelensky due to the support from EU countries are cooling down and he feels that he needs to rally the support and keep the show going.

Also a non insignificant% of people that don't buy into the war and craze can see the only party that didn't go along
Here in Greece Zelensky brought an Azov Soldier to speak on the parliament. Wasn't it not based that the communist Party refused to go even before they knew and were the ones not embarrassed
they didn't show up as some sort principled stand against continued support of a far right and largely unrepresentative regime, but because they thought it was boring and they'd rather rub one out at home instead
