What happened to leftism in Ann Arbor is just tragic
The weather underground was founded there and the White Panthers were primarily active there.
John Sinclair was sentenced to 10 years for having two joints (feds were illegally surveilling him ofc) so at a UMich arena there was a Freedom Rally.
John Lennon, Stevie Wonder, Bob Seger, Yoko Ono, and Phil Ochs performed
They had Ginsburg, Bobby Seale, and a member of the Chicago seven speak
(Also, not saying this is leftist, but an Ann Arbor student in the 90's started a cathinone "epidemic" in Michigan which he defended arguing it decreased the violent, cartel-based cocaine business )
