EID MUBARAK. we did it Ummah pogchamps, a whole month of fasting down once again. I hope it was easy for you

Eid al-Fitr is one of the major holidays in Islam, and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, where Muslims the world over fast from sunrise to sunset in order to build humility, empathy, and faith with those around them and the world at large who suffer from going without all year round. it is a day of prayers, community, and a lot of really great sweets.

Eid al-Fitr is marked by the sighting of the new moon, as Islam follows a lunar calendar. because of this Eid al-Fitr not only changes dates through the Gregorian year but also can be different between different countries where some sight the moon, and others do not.

hope all my comrades had a nice may day. I had a great day out, met loads of cool people, had some dumb debates, got like 15 trotskyist newspapers. always nice to meet people who care to change the world for the better along side you, and respect your ideas even in our differences

you have just entirely hit the nail on the head. trots are exhausting. I'm about as far from an anarchist as they get, but I am happy to work with them because they're chill and know when to turn the fuck off. trots are like career activists and so toxic in a lot of it

Same! I'm a commie but would much rather work with 90% of anarchists I know than 90% of Trots I know. I swear half the time I can hear the wheels turning in their head about how they're going to tell their buddies about the third worldist thing I said or something lol.

The most recent interaction I had was pretty funny, with a Trot saying that the best strategy to recruit libs was to cynically cite Bernie and his talking points and catchphrases. And not only that, they said anyone who wasn't on board with that was an ultra.

      At least they're accidentally funny?
