Does anyone have good recommendations on a good history book on the french revolution? Preferably by an author without conservative brain worms, though I can stomach it if it is well researched and not filled with bizarre conjecture and lectures. I'm primarily interested in what the radical (left) wing was thinking and doing at the time.

a peoples history of the French revolution doesn't go the whole timeline, but it's pretty good.
Great! Thanks! I found an epub on ligben if anyone else is looking for it.
The Twelve Who Ruled is very good, and I'll second DeathToBritain's recommendation for the Hazan book.
