We asked 5 IDF Generals to weigh in on the matter and all 5 think it's not related to Gaza even though the act was done outside the Israeli embassy.

Responding officer tried to deescalate by drawing service weapon and pointing it at the fire.

The cop wasn't sure whether it was the fire from Backdraft and could pounce at any moment

The reddit take on this was "Oh sure everybody here is an action movie star that would have known exactly what to do in this siymtuaition."

And it's just like, truly, go fuck yourself.

Don't drag me down to the pathetically low expectations you hold for yourself.

I can 1000% say if somebody was on fire in front of me I would not start threatening to shoot them and because of that I am better than that person and I'm not gonna feel bad about that assertion.

It's like when people point out Mark Whalberg repeatedly committed violent hate crimes and people are like "Oh sure I bet there's nothing in your past you're ashamed of"

No, I never committed multiple violent hate crimes and yes I do consider myself morally superior to anybody who has. Especially when they're like "well he grew up in a rough neighborhood"

Libs literally are not aware of the concept of having principles or a bare minimum level of humanity.

I'd have tactically ascertained the kinetic threat radials and deployed secu-ready force multipliers equal or greater to the horizontal and vertical danger angles while engaging in coordinated geo positioning with my preemtive response team. -reddit

And then condemning him because his lifeless burnt husk didn't forcefully condemn hamas so maybe he deserved it actually.

Fox News apparently sent out a push notification that said "US airman sets self on gire in front of Israeli embassy to protest Gaza war".

Which is not the phrasing I'd expect at a right wing outlet. Even "Gaza war" instead of "Hamas war" seems like an incredible victory

"There seems to have been a reaction with oxygen which may have been present in the air around the individual in question", said an expert interviewed by Passive News, "but it's too early to draw any conclusions," he added.

Troops just catch fire sometimes. First video of spontaneous human combustion?

Unironically giving them too much credit.

The headline was very carefully worded to avoid saying he set himself on fire.

"Federal employee dies after exothermic chemical reaction occurs in his general vicinity." Is unfortunately a lot closer.
