So I do music and sfx for games as a job and recently someone I worked with at a company a while back contacted me to ask if I could do some freelance music work for a client of his.

Turns out it is an NFT game. I said a price that's like 50% higher than my usual rate and they said yes.

But like, nft games are bad and I hate them, but at the same time I have a baby and a mortgage and writing music is still fun at the end of the day whatever its for. I'm basically thinking just do it but don't put it on my portfolio??

If I don't do it someone else will I may as well at least take their money.

It's like being an office drone for a bank or a hedge-fund or something. We all need to eat. But yes, get paid in advance as much as you can and if they want you to do any more work outside the contract make sure you get paid for that as well.
