holy shit i need this band in my life i love everything about this
yeah i'm usually of the "metalcore peaked in 2004" type...only new bands i like tend to be of the "metalcore-core" variety. but i kind of dig this. to me it sounds like a heavier spirtbox. their last album sounds more old school, lots of poison the well influence
yeah i’m there with the 2004 vibes too lol. foreign hands and dying wish are probably my two favorite bands that have come out over the past few years.
agreed that this track does feel like a heavier spiritbox. like i said, not my usual metalcore, but i can get into it. will definitely check out ithaca’s older material too. ty for the recommendation.
fuck i have heard like 2 songs and i already love foreign hands. this zoomer metalcore renaissance is the greatest thing ever. all these bands bringing back the early 00s style and making it punk again
i was talking to my brother about this the other day and we both agreed that there’s a sense of being transgressive/dangerous (in a good way) that a lot of these new bands have. maybe it’s the nostalgic feelings that music can inspire, but that feeling is definitely there at shows too.
no problem. absolutely love dying wish. saw them live but was really far away vibing on the grass and just immediately perked up. still regret not going up to stage but it was long festival i'm hoping to see them again. going to have to check out foreign hands
