    I love those stats.

Also for me, I'd make be her oppose monarchies and nobles even harder.

i'm replaying it now but i haven't gotten to any of that stuff yet. i remember it being mostly good, and edelgard is definitely portrayed as mostly good for her violent revolution against the church and status quo. but like half the fandom hates her with a burning passion, so maybe she's less good than i remember. i doubt it, but maybe i've just been poisoned by the fandom into thinking she's cooler than she is.

it might depend on the route you pick too, since i only ever picked the route where you get to attack and dethrone the pope. I know she does some fucked up shit without the player character on her team, but that's true of 2 of the other 3 leaders, and the game cares about claude so much less than rhea edelgard and dimitri, and they don't have the same excuses.

also i haven't played it since 2019, and i was way more of a lib back then, so take everything i just said with a grain of salt.

Her quote on the Fire Emblem wiki:

People believe Crests are blessings from the Goddess, that they are necessary to maintain order in Fódlan. But the people are wrong. Crests are to blame for this brutal, irrational world we live in.

If Crests are a metaphor for Divine Right, or better yet Capitalism, I'm fucking sold. Give me anime girl Robespierre.

crests are basically exclusive to nobility, they're mostly (though not exclusively) hereditary, and having them determines inheritance laws in many cases. like half the cast has trauma directly related to them, for reasons i'm sure you can figure out. she also wants to abolish the nobility iirc

That's because he has an AXE, that'd be too radical a departure from sword-based gameplay.

But he becomes a great lord and gets to use swords. It would piss me off if they did that to Hector, but I'd at least get to see my introduction to Bara fan art represented.

I assume if she gets a crit she turns into a firing squad.
